How to Throw the Perfect Halloween Party

How-to-throw-the-perfect-Halloween-party

Holloween parties are as American as apple pie – or pumpkin pie, rather. Halloween parties are a great excuse to get together with your friends and celebrate with creative costumes, sweet treats, and spooky vibes! At Eden Events, we know how to throw a ghoulish bash! Here’s how to throw the perfect Halloween party.

Pick a Theme

Having a party theme is a great way to bring everyone together and to get everyone creatively involved. Halloween parties are already sort-of themed, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have some fun with it, especially if your party isn’t on October 31st. Your Halloween theme can be anything from an All-Hallows Gala to a “Monsters and Mimosas.”

You can even choose to have a costume contest and games that fit the theme and give out treats to the winners!
Decorate A Halloween party without decorations is just a normal party that you happened to have in October. We don’t make the rules. Halloween decorations can make your party so much more exciting and it can get your guests more involved with the theme!

Your Halloween decorations can be as simple as traditional spider webs made from artificial-cotton and jack-o-lanterns or elaborate displays that will make for great backdrops for photos!

Don’t Forget the Candy

Halloween isn’t just some holiday invented by the candy companies to sell more candy, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t say no to some sweet treats! Keeping cauldrons stocked with candy spread out around your party (and away from the kitchen!) will make sure that your guests are moving around the party and not just posting up in one spot!

Have a Killer Playlist

Creating the perfect party playlist is something that takes years of experience manning the aux-cord but that doesn’t mean that you can’t come up with an amazing playlist that will keep the ghosts and ghouls dancing all night long. Part of the fun of Halloween parties is that you can play traditional Halloween bops like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” “The Monster Mash,” and “Black Magic Woman” without people really worrying about what songs are trendy at the moment.

Have a Horror Film Screening

What’s Halloween without some scary movies? While your perfect Halloween party probably won’t be a scary movie screening, having a tv or projector playing classic Horror Films can be a really easy way to get all of your guests in the Halloween spirit! If you’re worried about a movie taking over the whole party, you can always choose to play a classic black and white or silent film!

Most importantly, in order to throw the perfect Halloween party, remember to get in the spirit and have some fun!
